Willy Boy's parents were inundated with gifts both humble and priceless and everything in between. A selection of their presents went on display at St. James's Palace from Aug. 5 to Oct. 4, 1981. Admission costs (adults $2.80, children $1.50) will be donated to charities chosen by the Prince.
An entire kitchen unit valued at $18,500 was accepted from a German company. Did it go to Kensington Palace or Highgrove? Where ever, it was quite useful. They received two very specially crafted beds and unique carpets from Commonwealth countries and even a silver-plated mouse trap from citizens of the U.K.
They asked for garden furniture, a wine cooler and breakfast in bed trays. How normal is that?!
Sophie and Edward requested handmade custom saddles and caused a stir when they registered for a silver teapot
$ 14,000 and & $ 8, 000 worth of video equipment on their wedding gift wish list. They received the nine bedroom Bagshot Park estate in Berkshire from the Queen.
What will be included in Willy and Kate's lists? Will their gifts go on display as well? They have attracted so much loving attention from around the globe, they will no doubt rake in a huge amount of swagger. ;-) Even now an Arabian family is speaking of giving Kate millions in coloured diamonds. Take that you republican whingers!!!!
